Bill Koch - Vice President of Construction Management

Just a few years ago, Bill Koch knew Willow Valley Retirement Communities (WVRC) through the perspective of a vendor.  As a partner with Paul Risk Associates, his relationship with WVRC started in 1999 with the construction of North Garden Apartments.  Other projects included Meadow Ridge, our newest supportive living community, with a forward-thinking design.

These experiences helped Bill decide that, after 25 years in construction, Willow Valley was the place for him.  The organization's commitment to leading the industry is a nice fit with Bill's pioneering attitude.  He loves to see how design and construction can be pushed forward to create flexible and exciting environments for living.

Bill also respects the emphasis on teamwork at WVRC.  He is a firm believer in collaboration.  It's one way Bill says you can "make your own luck."

Under his watchful eye, Willow Valley has been making its own luck - and making waves in the long term care industry.  Bill has shepherded the extensive renovations of the Lakes community, incorporating innovative features such as the Market Place.  He also oversaw design and construction on our award-winning Welcome Center.

Bill has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from Arizona State University and a great sense of humor.  Asked to list his hobbies, he cited "family activities, biking, travel, and origami ... Not really on the origami!"
