James Cluck - Willow Valley Retirement Communities, Vice President of Property Management & Services

After six years at Willow Valley Retirement Communities (WVRC), James (Jim) Cluck was recently named Vice President of Property Management & Services.  The promotion reflects the achievements of Jim and his department, keeping both systems and services working smoothly so that our Team Members can deliver innovative programs to Residents.

Jim is a Pennsylvania native who attended Pennsylvania State University, earning both his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering.  He spent 33 years at Armstrong World Industries, Inc., eventually becoming the General Manager of Systems Integration.

For Jim, "integrated" is just another way of saying that various elements are working together as a team to achieve the greatest results.  It's what he dedicates himself to on the job.  He says his favorite thing about Willow Valley Retirement Communities is "the variety of personalities, work tasks and technologies and the focus on excellence that brings them all together."

Like so many Team Members at Willow Valley Retirement Communities, Jim embraces a professional and personal philosophy of service.  In his free time, this licensed engineer helps friends and familly with electrical home installations and improvements.  He can fix most anything - cars, any kind of engine, appliances, anything electronic or computer based.  And for 13 years, he's been a participant in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Jim also reflects WVRC's commitment to passionate pursuits.  He's been taking piano lessons for 10 years.  He's been the drummer in a 20-piece jazz band for 20 years.  And, this die-hard Penn State Football fan hasn't missed a home game since 1965.
