Outdoor Spaces
Designed to Let Discovery - and Self-Discovery - Happen Naturally
Sometimes the key to building community is not to build at all. Walk the grounds at Willow Valley Retirement Communities and you'll discover a wide variety of outdoor spaces - from manicured courtyards to the wildlife habitat areas that are one of our best-kept secrets. This environment breeds self-discovery and self-reflection.
Our two campuses benefit from the mild Lancaster, PA climate - warm in the summer, cooler in winter - and the rich soil that first attracted the Amish (or "Pennsylvania Dutch"). This land is home to lush natural meadows, wetlands, woods, and breathtaking views of the bucolic countryside.
The natural beauty, ecological diversity, and varied wildlife habitat make walking through our grounds an unforgettable experience. It’s not too often that one walks our grounds without feeling a sense of peace.
Outdoor spaces are one more way our retirement communities nurture mind, body, and spirit on all levels, for all ages. Our Grounds Manager and his Team are more than landscapers; they're educators, designers ... the outdoor spaces they create and tend to help our Residents flourish.
Read on for the insider's view of Willow Valley's amazing outdoor spaces. You'll find accounts from Residents, musings from Team Members ... it's for you to discover!
