What Your One-Time and Monthly Fees Include

• dining (in communities that offer a dining plan)
• world-class amenities, such as the Cultural Center,

• utilities (cable, telephone not included) and
• access to 24-hour nursing. 

The one-time entrance fee assures the provision of Lifecare’s full continuum of high quality care without having to move from your community, family, or friends. With Lifecare, our Residents protect themselves from the escalating cost of catastrophic long-term health care events.

Willow Valley Retirement Communities offers a choice of townhomes, villas, and more than 70 apartment floor plans.  We also offer three different contract options.  This means you can choose the home and agreeement that fits your lifestyle best.

Federal Taxes and Health Care Expenditures

The one-time entrance fee and a portion of the monthly service fee are both considered health care expenditures and, as such, qualify as Federal tax deductions. The 2010 allowances for a couple were $35,006 and $32,581 for a single Resident. The allowable weighted average monthly fee deduction ranges from $729 - $1,120 for one person, and $1,111 - $1,477 for a couple.

Retirement-Friendly Pennsylvania

Willow Valley Retirement Communities is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The state is known to be retiree-friendly, as retirement income (including pensions) are not currently taxed by the state of PA. Residents have moved from 37 states to take advantage of Lancaster’s low cost of living.
